DESCRIPTION:Junior League of Cedar Rapids and Foundation 2 Crisis Services are partnering to serve young people aging out of foster care during Giving Tuesday!\nEach year\, the Junior League of Cedar Rapids assembles and donates several dozen “Apartment in a Suitcase” bundles for young people enrolled in Foundation 2’s Fostering Futures program. This program helps young people become stable after aging out of foster care.\nThe suitcases contain basic necessities for independent living – perhaps items that a family member or loved one helped you get for your first apartment. Each suitcase is valued at approximately $700.\nTWO DROP-OFF LOCATIONS:\n(1) Join us between 7 a.m.-2 p.m. on Tuesday\, Nov. 29 at Craft’d (333 1st St SE Suite 100) to “Stuff the Truck” with requested basic living supplies for the “Apartment in a Suitcase” bundles.\nPlus-\nEnjoy a FREE DRINK at Craft’d for donating in-kind item(s) on Giving Tuesday\, courtesy of Palmer Group. (Only valid for donations made on 11/29)\nCan’t make it on Giving Tuesday? Donation boxes are also available Nov. 21-Dec. 4 at Craft’d from 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday-Friday.\nOR\n(2) Drop off donations at Revitalize U Med Spa and Salon (1750 Jordan Street\, North Liberty) during normal business hours between Tuesday\, Nov. 22 and Sunday\, Dec. 4. Receive 10% off a future service in appreciation for your donation.\nRequested items include:\n1. Flatware (silverware) sets\n2. Mixing bowl sets\n3. Colanders\n4.
